Nozzle heatings of the company GIESSTECHNIK are especially produced for the zinc pressure die casting.

The coils of the heatings are fixed around the nozzle in axial direction.

The coils are imbedded tightly within guiding material. As a result of this a great area will be generated,
so that a well heat transfer on the nozzle is guaranteed. Heating elements and heat guiding material are welded within a double casing-high-quality steel tube. This prevents a penetration of fluid zinc when the zinc splashes over.

The heating is fixed connected with the nozzle. This offers an optimal heat transfer from the heating to the nozzle. The heat capacity of the heating will be distributed on the nozzle. The greatest heat capacity will be on the top of the heating, because on this point the will be required most of all. The measurement of temperature also occurs here.

The probe for the measurement of the temperature is installed between the heating coils and assures a precise measurement of temperatur on the nozzle. There is also the possibilty to load a nozzle with two heating circuits. This achieves of course an even more precise temperature on the nozzle.

During the casting, the heating on the back is omly connected rarely. Because enough heat will be transmitted from the gooseneck and through the metal from the shot on the nozzle. A further advantage of the 2-circular heatings is that it is possible to refresh the heatings separately in the case of a defect. That saves costs.
