Every die caster knows the problem of constriction in the plant filed of the mouthpieces.

Tear of the sprue pins, cold shot and so on require the refresh of the mouthpieces or a post-treatment.

The high wear is based on the fact, that the out of hot working steel produced and on 50 HRC hardened mouthpieces at a operating temperature of approx. 450 C only have the hardness of approx 36 HRC. Because of these circumstances they will be pressed.

The mouthpieces of the company GIESSTECHNIK will keep the initial hardness of approx. 50 HRC at the temperature of 450°C. The mouthpieces are produced in a special procedure out of stellite and are constant to 900°C. They can not be ignited.

The used material is non-magnetic and acid constant.

The service life of the stellite mouthpieces is according to statements of our customers approx.
20 - 30 times longer, than with mouthpieces from hot-working steel.

By the use of stellite mouthpieces and because of their long service life the flow of production at the machines is substantially improved.

Because of the short downtimes of the machines this will reduce the costs of production.

Geometry of the drilling in the mouthpieces improves the flow behavior.
This has a favourable effect on the quality of the casting.
